USA trip
Six of us spent a 2 week holiday in Yosemite and Bishop in June this year.
We rented a van for that period, a nice one. We’re not used to drive with such cars and driving in San Francisco was a little surprise.
Arriving in Yosemite the beautiful view was blocked by the fog.
Bridalvail Fall and Yosemite Fall left a big impression on us.
What we enjoyed most in Yosemite was climbing Lost Arrow Spire.
The last day in Yosemite we tried Snake Dike on Half dome. On the second pitch we were forced to go back because of the snow and cold. We reached the top of Half Dome by following the hikers way.
It was time to search for better weather, therefore we traveled to Bishop.
We drove over Sonora pass witch was still full of snow.
In Bishop we visited The Buttermilks to climb “The Iron man Traverse†and lots of beautiful boulders.
We also went to The Happy Boulders, realizing some V5 boulders.
We found a hot spring in Bishop, what a nice place to rest.
Brewtalized 5,12d at Owens River Gorge is one of the great climbs we realized there.
After 15 days we went back to San Francisco. This was one of the better trips we had so far.
